Concept
Account status describes whether the account exists and is usable. Restriction status describes whether certain transaction capabilities are controlled.

Account status asks whether the account is normal. Restriction status asks what transactions are allowed.They are related, but not the same.
Status Sources

| Freeze / stop-pay | Amount or direction controls. |
| Restriction code | Control label at customer, account, or sub-account level. |
| Limit | Amount, count, or scope control. |
| Product rule | Product itself disallows certain transactions, such as early time deposit withdrawal. |
| Closure status | Closed or closing accounts usually cannot continue normal transactions. |
| Risk / AML | Risk handling, AML, or FCC restrictions. |
| Legal / regulatory | Legal freeze, legal levy, or regulatory requirement. |
Account Level vs. Sub-account Level
Status can exist at customer level, customer account level, or sub-account level. Many transactions are actually processed at sub-account level, such as time deposit withdrawal, freeze, and transaction history.
